Set up the webhook

Updated

Paddle tells your store about payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds by sending webhooks (notifications) to your site. The plugin can set this up for you.

One click

  1. On the Paddle settings screen, find the Webhooks row. It shows your webhook URL.
  2. Click Set up webhook.

The plugin creates the notification destination in Paddle, subscribes it to the right events and saves its secret into the webhook secret field. The page reloads when it is done.

By hand

  1. In Paddle go to Developer Tools → Notifications → New destination.
  2. Paste your webhook URL. It looks like this:
https://your-store.com/wp-json/wpinterface-paddle/v1/webhook
  1. Select the transaction, subscription and adjustment events and save.
  2. Copy the destination’s secret key into the plugin’s webhook secret field and save.

Live and sandbox each need a webhook

Click Set up webhook once with EDD Test Mode on (sandbox) and once with it off (live), so both secrets are saved.

Next: Approve your website and payment link.
