The top of the Paddle settings screen connects the plugin to your Paddle account.

| Status / Test connection | Shows which Paddle account type and mode are in use, and checks the saved credentials with Paddle. Save your changes before testing. |
| Paddle account type | Paddle Billing or Paddle Classic (legacy). |
| Live / Sandbox API key, client-side token, webhook secret | Paddle Billing credentials. |
| Live / Sandbox Vendor ID, API Auth Code, Public Key | Paddle Classic credentials. |
| Webhooks | Your webhook URL; for Billing also the Set up webhook button. |
