Install the plugin like any other WordPress plugin, then turn on the Paddle gateway in EDD.
- In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the plugin .zip file, click Install Now, then Activate.
- Go to Downloads → Settings → Payments → General and tick Paddle under Active Gateways. Save.
- Open the Paddle tab on the same screen (Downloads → Settings → Payments → Paddle) and follow the setup for your account type.
Paddle stays hidden until it is ready
Paddle does not appear at checkout until its credentials for the current mode (live or test) are filled in, so customers never see a half-configured payment option.
