Every Paddle account created after August 2023 uses Paddle Billing. Setup takes about five minutes. Do it first with your sandbox account and EDD Test Mode on, then repeat with your live account.
Create an API key and client-side token
Create the Paddle Billing credentials the plugin needs, with the right permissions.
Enter your credentials in WordPress
Paste your Paddle Billing API key and client-side token into the Paddle settings.
Set up the webhook
Let Paddle notify your store about payments, renewals and refunds, in one click or by hand.
Approve your website and payment link
Approve your domain in Paddle and set the default payment link to your checkout page.
Test the connection
Check that your saved Paddle Billing credentials work.
Two settings Paddle insists on
Paddle Billing refuses every checkout until your website is approved and a default payment link is set. Don’t skip step 4.
