Paddle Classic needs three values: your Vendor ID, an API Auth Code and your public key.
- In the Paddle dashboard, open Developer Tools → Authentication and copy your Vendor ID and an API Auth Code.
- Open Developer Tools → Public Key and copy the whole key, including the
-----BEGIN PUBLIC KEY-----and-----END PUBLIC KEY-----lines. - In WordPress go to Downloads → Settings → Payments → Paddle, set Paddle account type to Paddle Classic (legacy) and paste the values into the Sandbox (or Live) fields. Save.
- Click Test connection.
Paste the complete public key
Orders stay Pending if the public key is cut short, because the plugin can’t verify Paddle’s alerts. Always include the BEGIN and END lines.
