These are deliberate trade-offs, mostly set by how Paddle works.
- One subscription per order. Paddle bills each subscription separately; EDD Recurring cannot map one Paddle subscription to several EDD subscriptions.
- Classic subscriptions only in USD, EUR or GBP (plan currencies). Classic cannot pause during a trial.
- Paddle discount codes are turned off in the Billing checkout; EDD discounts are used instead.
- EDD taxes should be off. Paddle calculates tax; with EDD taxes on, buyers could be taxed twice.
- Classic partial refunds made in Paddle are spread over items, then fees, because Classic alerts do not say which line was refunded.
- Classic dashboard links (
orders/detail/…,subscriptions/customers/manage/…) are best-effort and may change with Paddle’s dashboard.
