Work through this list before you take real payments.
- Test the full flow with Sandbox ticked: a one-time purchase, a subscription (if you sell them), a Refund via Paddle and a refund made in Paddle.
- Enter your Live credentials.
- Untick Sandbox and save.
- Billing: click Set up webhook so the live webhook secret is created. Approve your domain and set the default payment link in your live Paddle account.
- Classic: set the Alerts / Webhooks URL and alerts in your live Paddle account.
- Turn WooCommerce taxes off, and exclude the checkout page from page caching.
- Check that WooCommerce → Paddle shows every step done.
- Place one small real order, check that it is marked paid and the email arrives, then refund it.
Caching
Page caches can serve a stale checkout to customers. Exclude your checkout page (and the webhook URL, if your cache or firewall touches REST requests) from caching.
