Set up the webhook

Updated

Paddle tells your store about payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds by sending webhooks (notifications) to your site. The plugin can set this up for you.

One click

  1. Save your settings first.
  2. On the same screen, find the Webhooks row. It shows your webhook URL.
  3. Click Set up webhook.

The plugin creates (or updates) the notification destination in Paddle for the current mode, subscribes it to the events it needs, and saves its secret into the webhook secret field. You see “Webhook created in Paddle and its secret saved.” and the page reloads. In Paddle, Notifications then lists the destination, described as “WooCommerce (your-site)”.

HTTPS only

Paddle only delivers webhooks to public https:// addresses. If your site is not on HTTPS, the button tells you so.

By hand

  1. In Paddle go to Notifications (/notifications-v2) and add a new destination.
  2. Paste your webhook URL. It looks like this:
https://your-store.com/wp-json/wpinterface-paddle-woo/v1/webhook
  1. Select the transaction, subscription and adjustment events and save.
  2. Paste the destination’s secret key into the plugin’s webhook secret field and save.

Next: Approve your website and payment link.
